Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) – Ultra High Purity is a very strong inorganic, colorless, odorless, non-flammable, greenhouse gas that is a good electrical insulator.
SF6 is used in the electrical industry as a gaseous dielectric medium for high-voltage circuit breakers, switchgear, and other electrical equipment. SF6 gas under pressure is used as a gas insulator in gas insulated switchgear (GIS) because it has a much higher dielectric strength than air or dry nitrogen.
SF6 is used in the medical industry to provide tamponade or plug of retinal holes in retinal repair surgery. Available in sizes 40kg, 48kg and 50kg
